AI Impact Analysis Methodology

This page explains the methodology used to assess the potential impact of artificial intelligence on various job roles and industries presented on AI Workforce Report.

Our analysis involves:

• Data Sources: We synthesize information from sources such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), academic research, industry reports, and expert forecasts.
• Task Analysis: We break down job roles into constituent tasks and evaluate the potential for AI to automate or augment each task based on current and near-future AI capabilities (e.g., data processing, pattern recognition, physical manipulation, creative generation, emotional reasoning).
• Impact Scoring: Based on the task analysis, we assign an overall AI impact score or risk level, considering factors like the proportion of automatable tasks, the requirement for human judgment or empathy, and the projected timeline for significant AI adoption in that field.
